North Star Prototype

My Nursing Mastery began as an app that helped nursing students pass their NCLEX exam. As time went on there was an opportunity to expand its offering into lifelong learning by adding audio, video, and other test formats. HLT needed a guide that clearly defined a path for how this content could work together.

Question - Answer

HLT apps have amassed over a billion questions answered. It’s what we do better than anyone else. However, everything can be improved! By running an extremely simple test that made our “tags” look like buttons (see below “old vs new”) we saw over a 20% increase in questions answered per user. This was a key indicator that we should continue to refine our question-answer experience.

Design System

While at HLT I took it upon myself to create the foundations of a design system (in Figma). This helped me maintain standards across all projects while simultaneously speeding up my work.
